<title>goodfundadvisor on "Fidelity India Value Fund NFO - Not now"</title>
<link>http://forum.rupeemanager.com/topic/fidelity-india-value-fund-nfo-not-now#post-11</link>

<guid isPermaLink="false">11@http://forum.rupeemanager.com/</guid>
<description>&#60;p&#62;STRONG REPUTATION...... BUT IS IT ENOUGH?????&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Fidelity has launched a New Fund Offer with a attractive name, Fidelity India Value Fund.&#60;br /&#62;
The fund will invest in Indian and international equities with a higher focus on undervalued securities to deliver long term capital appreciation. The Fidelity India Value Fund's new fund offer (NFO) will close on December 15, 2009.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Fidelity has built a strong reputation for giving more prominence to Fundamentals of Stocks it buys and thus has been a steady performer rather than being spectacular.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;COMMENT AND RECOMMENDATION :&#60;br /&#62;
Value Funds tend to take a long time to give reasonable returns and Fidelity as a Fund House itself, is quite defensive in nature.&#60;br /&#62;
It is surprising that Fidelity has come with a Such a Fund at all. What do the other Fund Managers do??? Don't they see&#60;br /&#62;
'value' in the stocks they buy?.&#60;br /&#62;
And what these 'Contra' Funds do????., They too find 'value' and do Contra buying.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Indian Economy is in a Strong Growth Phase and Value Investing will work more in mature markets and thus Growth Funds will give more returns than Value Funds.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Go for Fidelity Equity Fund and avoid this NFO for now. If you are really keen on 'Value investing' go for existing funds like ICICI Discovery Fund, Birla Sunlife Dividend Yield Fund, UTI Dividend Yield Fund.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62; For your information, even their flagship, Fidelity Equity Fund, though consistent, has lagged behind its peers over 1 year, 3 year period.&#60;br /&#62;
Thus, This Fund is purely for a fan of Fidelity. You can skip this NFO and consider DSPBR World Mining Fund which is more promising among the current NFOs open.&#60;br /&#62;
Visit my blog &#60;a href=&#34;http://goodfundsadvisor.blogspot.com&#34; rel=&#34;nofollow&#34;&#62;http://goodfundsadvisor.blogspot.com&#60;/a&#62; for mutual fund analysis and recommendations

<description>&#60;p&#62;I have been in stock markets since 1991. I have seen it all. Two Big Bull Runs and Two Big Bear Phases. What I have learnt through these Bull Runs and Bear Phases that Invesement is best left to Experts, who will do all the research and head racking analysis for you. And Mutual Fund are the Best Investment Avenue available. There is Great Transparancy, Low Cost and Good Returns in their Not so short History. Invest through sips preferably and invest in Diversified Funds first. <description>&#60;p&#62;Hi All,&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;here are numerous things you can do right now to make sure you’re not paying too much or too little for home insurance coverage. Some tips have little to do with the actual coverage and more to do with how you elect to pay for it.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;1&#38;gt; Change your payment plan&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;For example, if you have an easier time budgeting monthly payments for your home cover, you may be paying an outrageous interest charge for the privilege. It could add 15% to your premium over the course of a year. You’re better off spreading the payments out over a 0% credit card if you can find one, or finding an insurer who is more flexible with their payment terms.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;2&#38;gt; Pay more out of pocket&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you have a decent savings set aside, consider paying a higher voluntary excess. This can result in lower premiums. You must make sure, however, that you have the ability to actually pay that higher voluntary excess if worse comes to worst.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;3&#38;gt; Make your home secure&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Installing a home alarm system can act as a deterrent, and it can also lower your home cover premiums enough to justify the cost. The same is true for using door and window locks fitted to BS3621 standard.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;4&#38;gt; Pay for only what you need&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;And finally, don’t over insure. Calculate the value of your belongings rather than making what may be an overgenerous estimate. Be as accurate as possible with this. Fortunately, the internet can help you determine the worth of many of the contents of your home.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Share your ideas too!&#60;br /&#62;
Any reply would be greatly appreciated!&#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;Hi All,&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you are in the market for a home insurance policy, then the internet can be your best friend. You can easily compare quotes online over a nice cuppa tea and potentially save yourself hundreds of pounds in premiums over the long term.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Even though it can be tedious, reading over your household insurance policy before signing is worthwhile. It is important not to under-insure, and it is important not to over-insure. When it comes time to compare quotes, you’ll want to be relatively well versed in what your policy covers and does not, and you’ll need basic information such as your postcode.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Your location is quite important in determining the cost of your household insurance. While this is an important factor, it is far from the only one determining your rate. Your previous claims history, the amount insured, and what kinds of items you are insuring influence the quotes you will receive.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Sites that allow you to shop and compare home insurance prices:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;When searching for cheap home insurance that matches your needs, you should put your needs first, and then worry about saving money. An inadequate policy could cost you more should you be unfortunate enough to have damage to your home. The key is to know as much about your home as possible, not only things like when it was built, but also the value of the contents inside your home, and the amount of voluntary excess you are willing and able to pay. Armed with these pieces of information, obtaining a number of competitive home insurance quotes will let you find the best rate while meeting your insurance needs.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Keep Sharing &#38;amp; Reading!&#60;/p&#62;
